Description: In an attempt to delay the spread of coronavirus, governments, businesses, and other stakeholders around the world have taken necessary steps to respond to the crisis. In the Philippines for example, quarantines and lockdowns have been enforced, limiting mobility to essential activities, suspending public transportation, and forcing several industries to shut down.

The webinar aims to shed light and discourse on the economic risks and implications of the pandemic, especially on food security and supply chain, and how some ways could be explored to move forward. It also aims to discuss practical experiences of those who are directly involved in the production, transportation, and trade of food. It will also highlight practical experiences and innovative solutions employed to address the issue on food supply/security while in strict compliance with the community quarantine protocols.

The webinar offers a venue by which stakeholders such as academics, government agencies, and citizen groups could explore ways to strengthen the capacity to address the issues on the food supply chain amidst COVID-19.
