UP-CIFAL Philippines strengthens ties with Filipino youth

11 December 2020—UP-CIFAL Philippines co-organized and joined a pool of distinguished speakers during the PAGSULONG: Leadership Webinar-Workshop on the UN Sustainable Development Goals last December 11 and 12, 2020. The two-day online event, co-organized with the University of the Philippines’ Junior Philippine Society for Public Administration (UP JPSPA), aimed to nurture the learners’ curiosity and provided them with the tools and resources to inquire, understand, engage, and communicate the importance of sustainability.

The Philippine Vice President, Honorable Maria Lenor “Leni” Robredo, joined on the second day of the webinar where she emphasized the importance of engaging the youth in creating and fostering a sustainable future. The other topics discussed were the implementation of the SDGs in the local units and the UN SDGs in public administration and policy practice.

173 participants from all over the Philippines attended the online event via Zoom.
